Overview
A demo website for a supermarket chain: current promotions, a catalogue that flips on a phone, departments, locations in six cities with a map, the company story, job applications and social media posts.
Starting point
A supermarket chain needs its website every week, not once a year: new promotions, a new catalogue, new job openings. If that cannot be changed quickly and simply, the site is out of date within seven days.
Idea
A website organised around what changes most often: promotions and the catalogue at the top, departments and locations right below, then everything else. The catalogue flips directly on the phone and every location opens a map with one tap.
Process
Everything for your shopping.
- 01
Structure
Promotions, catalogue, departments, locations with a map, about, careers, social media posts and contact. The order follows what the customer actually looks for.
- 02
Design
The brand's red for promotions and calls to action, white surfaces for content, large prices and short headings. Everything legible on a small screen.
- 03
Development
Weekly, weekend and seasonal campaigns, a flip catalogue, locations with map links, a job application with CV upload, space for automatic social media posts.
Design
Views
The promotion is always in the foreground, but the site does not look like a flyer. Departments and locations have their own rhythm and the invitation to find the nearest store is present on every screen.
Result
A demo showing how a retailer with several locations can have a website that is easy to maintain and that immediately shows the customer what is on offer and where the nearest store is.
Live site
The demo is a real website. Open it in a new tab and try every page.
Concept project. The brand is fictional and the website was made to show what a solution for this industry could look like.
